Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: The prestigious Kalarathna School of Dance, under the visionary leadership of renowned dancer Sreetha Anilkumar, successfully concluded its inaugural “Celebration Season – 1” with overwhelming public enthusiasm. The four-year artistic journey in Jeddah culminated in a grand finale that showcased the institution’s excellence in Indian classical dance.
The dynamic duo, Mrs Sreetha Anilkumar and Mr Anilkumar Marakath who have guided the institution through four years of remarkable growth, nurturing over 100 students in various dance forms, served as chief coordinators for this spectacular event.
The event featured an array of captivating dance performances by the talented students of Kalarathna School, including Mohiniyattam, Kathak, Devadasi, Thiruvathira, Cinematic Dance, Oppana, dhadiya, drama, single performance and Sufi Dance, all of which enthralled the audience and won their hearts.
Mrs. Sreetha Anilkumar, the passionate Coordinator of Kalarathna School of Dance, is not just a teacher but a lifelong artist whose journey in dance began in her childhood. With numerous performances at school and professional levels, she has honed a distinctive artistic identity—one that blends natural rhythm, deep emotional expression, unwavering dedication, and boundless creativity.
Her remarkable ability to connect with the audience—telling stories and evoking emotions through graceful, purposeful movements—has deeply influenced her students. Inspired by her, they have dedicated countless hours to perfecting their craft, learning under her guidance, and exploring a wide range of dance styles including classical, contemporary, folk, and cinematic forms.
The grand celebration was made possible through the dedicated efforts of its executive team, including Ameer Parappanangadi, Razak Mampuram, Rafi, Mustafa, Hari, Thaj Mannnarkad, Reetha, Paurnami Teacher, Aji mam, Shailaja, Lissi whose seamless coordination & efforts has ensured the event’s grand success.
Mr. Baby Neelambra, a respected community figure, was felicitated with a token of love during the function, marking his official induction as the newly elected President of the Social Indian Forum (SIF) for 2025–26.
The event was graced by prominent personalities including, Mr. Ashraf Chukkan, Chairman of Saphire Malayali Koottayma, Mr. Adnan, a Pakistani singer, Mr. Abdulla Mukanni, Media professionals Mr. Jafar Ali Palakkod and Mr. Sadhikali Thuvvoor who were present as chief guests.
The guests from Jeddah Tamil Sangam Mr. Moorthi voiced that, every dancer electrified the stage with unmatched passion and precision. The dedication behind each movement was not just visible—it was profoundly moving, whereas Mr. Al Aman observed that an extraordinary celebration of talent and cultural heritage were staged, from the imaginative choreography to the vibrant costumes and flawless coordination—every detail was at its top notch.
